we’re better together.

while yoga can be a very personal and individual journey, I also believe it calls us back out into the collective because we are interconnected and truly can be better together. I’m grateful to have co-created with passionate, visionary community leaders and here’s just a few I’d like to share.

is nothing short of a movement for Black life, Black joy, + Black well-being. Since I plugged into GFD programming I’ve led the Mindfulness sessions at Camp Excellence, planted seeds of veggies and seeds of joy with camp Growing + Glowing, and offered well-being resources to hundreds of educators.

from Get Fresh Daily founder, Jiana Murdic: There aren’t enough great things to say about Adriana. She is equal parts compassionate, intuitive instructor, and sharp, strategic collaborator. As Resident Mindfulness Instructor for Get Fresh Daily, she both teaches and advises on all wellness programming, from our educator workshops to our spring and summer camps for children. She is an invaluable asset to my team.

breathe + rest candles by realign.d

what started as a podcast interview + photoshoot ended as a divine collaboration of creativity in service of supporting our breath + rest. as grateful as I am for the end-product, I may be more grateful for the process of co-creating and pushing my self-perceived limitations.

while the breathe + rest candles are currently sold out, all the realign.d candles are truly magical hand-poured with apricot coconut creme wax + infused with organic essential oils and reiki.

they out here doing big things in the name of Black liberation in Philly. During the summer of 2020 at the height of protests in the wake of police murder against Black people and the illumination of systemic racism [for some], Spirits Up! reached out to lead yoga at one of their six sessions that combined yoga + meditation + art + speakers + healing. since then i’ve been a part of their Digital Wellness Festival + other offerings for the community.

from Spirits Up! founder Sudan Green: My growth both as a young yogi, and aspiring teacher, has been made possible because of her love for teaching and the art of yoga itself. It’s been an honor to be able to work and learn from Adriana.

Follow Spirits Up! to see what they’re creating next or check out their segment of this episode of WHYY’s Movers and Makers where both Get Fresh Daily + I make features.
