Hi!

I’m a student, practitioner, and guide for and of the practices of yoga.

I study and share yoga as a practice towards and of liberation. Through yoga, I hold space for intentional movement, deep rest, Black well-being, disruption of toxic dominant narratives, learning/unlearning, and affirmation of our eternal divine wholeness as individuals & in service of collective liberation.

I work to help adults and kids effectively integrate the practices and benefits of yoga including movement, meditation, and breath work to their busy, messy, very real daily lives. This integration can support the dismantling oppressive systems within us and around us and build a more equitable, just, and free world for all.

I am a daughter, friend & spouse, a plant & pup mama, pleasure activist, justice seeker, astrology enthusiast [Capricorn Sun, Pisces Moon], an overzealous thinker + a reluctant writer, and a dang good cook.

kind words.

Adriana has been a fantastic friend and mentor to me from the moment we first met and began working together. She made my entry into the world of yoga feel a lot less lonesome. The attention to black healing and black spirituality is much needed in all of the class settings she brings it to.

There aren’t enough great things to say about Adriana. She is equal parts compassionate, intuitive instructor, and sharp, strategic collaborator. As Resident Mindfulness Instructor for Get Fresh Daily, she both teaches and advises on all wellness programming, from our educator workshops to our spring and summer camps for children. She is an invaluable asset to my team.

I wanted to let you know your class is the most difficult. You don’t tell me what to do and I’m stuck with my own intent, decision, action and the agency is on me. It is so much easier to be told exactly what to do and do it. It is so much harder imagining/envisioning and acting on alternatives, options, differences and acting to make them real and I appreciate immensely that your class invites, encourages, and requires doing that.
